You don't have to be a good driver in an electric car. Driving a Viper to its maximum potential is a handful, and the guy driving the Viper clearly didn't have a clue on racing the car.

The guy driving the Viper is clueless. With that much torque on tap, you can't smoke the tires and expect to win any race. A good driver in the Viper would have made a completely different race.
